Important information regarding CalFresh benefits impacted by the federal government shutdown

California received notice from the federal government that it intends to disrupt November CalFresh benefits if the federal shutdown continues. Millions of Californians receiving CalFresh benefits may be impacted.

CalFresh benefits are funded for the month of October. However, if the federal government shutdown continues past October 23, November CalFresh benefits may be delayed. You can keep using your existing CalFresh benefits as usual. No action is required.

We understand this is a difficult situation and will share more information about your November CalFresh benefits as soon as possible. However, the federal government has not approved us to provide you with benefits during this time.
